Wild Things

Living things possess energy.  Sometimes it is potential energy, sometimes kinetic.  It cannot be destroyed, only transferred.  These paintings highlight that transfer and its consequences, whether they be for better or worse.

Tiefe.  German for "depth".  A sleek fish on the top shows a flatness to its eye lacking depth.  The homelier fish below has a glow and a hidden depth to its eye.  The analogy to humans is rather obvious.  Sold

From the Depths.  This hexaptych (six pieces!) was created for a group show at the Grassroots Gallery that ran from Jan-Feb 2021. These pieces represent an emergence from darkness (bottom) to daylight (top) in the ocean. However, the daylight is not as wonderful as we often delude ourselves to believe.  ---  Each piece has its own meaning, and can be sold separately. Although I would much prefer to keep the hexaptych together.  (PS - this photo is not from a staging app!  It is all six on a real wall.)  $2,900 for set

2021.  Acrylic on gallery canvas.  Whole set measures 50" x 60" (3 are 20" x 20", 3 are 20" x 30").

Social Distortion.  Masks. I am not against them. But just think about how 2.5 years of mask wearing has totally f**ked how we deal with other humans. We are now sociologically crippled, and humanity is forever altered.  $575
